BrewDog - Liverpool

The Woof Review

Updated: Jun 9, 2019

BrewDog! It must be dog friendly as it has dog in the name right? Well that works in this instance, BrewDog not only have dog friendly restaurants, but dog friendly offices too?! That's woofing amazing.

Located off the well known Bold St. on Colquitt St., BrewDog Liverpool blends in perfectly with it's industrial decor and spacious warehouse feel. Large entrance doors make for easy wheelchair and woof access, as well as yet another window to the outside world. We frequented this establishment on a Monday evening after some big football match at the weekend, so it was fairly quiet. The large tall windows let copious amounts of light in, giving a cheerful warm to the place.

Upon entry you are greeted with a 'hydration station', which is a set of doggy bowls, along with blankets (I assume for the seats) and a Paws of Fame board full of photos of four legged visitors. BrewDog doesn't just accept dogs, it welcomes them!

With two dogs I appreciated the spacious walkways between tables, and we chose a booth perpendicular to the store front, so the puppers could watch the pedestrian traffic.

As an independent craft beer mogul, BrewDog boasts a large array of own brand and other alcoholic and non-alcohic drinks. The industrial theme continued with neon signs and worn look tables, including a 'Press for Beer' button!

The menu includes burgers, wings, salads and light snacks. The vegetarian/vegan options were impressive, though they seemed to be out of some odd things, corn and chips, who runs out of chips?!

Bobby and Chewie made themselves comfortable immediately, and were greeted by most guests who passed our table. The staff were lovely and friendly, and equally welcoming to the dogs. The booths are very comfortable, though my short stature meant I was swinging my legs a good few inches off the ground.

Burgers do not come with fries, and I would normally somewhat resent paying £9-£11 for a lone burger (well I am Scottish) however Mondays are Vegan 2-4-1 making it a good value meal especially for Liverpool central. They run similar deals throughout the week that can be found on their facebook page. Burgers themselves were nicely sized, the patty was definitely hefty and the toppings were tasty enough. Would not count the sides as good value honestly, but the cauliflower wings are definitely worth trying, they pack a spicy punch!

Cannot contemplate a burger without sweet potato fries! Which is just as well as they were out of ordinary potato fries....

Even the platters were in keeping with the decor! In all honesty there are better burgers in Liverpool, however the ambience, variety, staff, and dog friendliness will definitely have me and four legged friends returning sometime soon. Woof rating 8/10
