This week we visited a coffee house cross cocktail bar located on South Road in Waterloo. Timberwolf Grind and Tap looks like something you'd find on a hipsters instagram, with chalk board menus and empty gin bottle decor, this small cafe bar has a rustic charm.

With street side parking available and within walking distance from Waterloo train station, Timberwolf is easily accessible and far enough from city centre to be lovely and quiet on a Saturday afternoon.
There is no online menu available but looking through facebook photos we spotted some handmade looking pizza and got quite excited. Sadly upon arrival we realised there was no pizza....but there was toasties and bagels!

First things first, coffee. What a coffee it was. If you like decent coffee I would highly recommend this place, there is not a large or varied menu, however each coffee smelled and tasty HEAVENLY. The chai latte tasted like baked biscuits, and the lattes tasted of actual good quality coffee! For true coffee connoisseurs there is a bean origin breakdown on the chalk board wall menus, I just drank and enjoyed.
There is a sign in the window proclaiming dogs welcome, and while there we did see one other customer with a dog, the seating area is quite small and although there is a back room, you may struggle with a large dog or two labrador sized dogs.
The perfect time to visit with your four legged friends I feel would be afternoon or early evening, as I can imagine this place getting quite busy as the night goes on. They advertise plenty of different gin, craft beer, and organic wine choices which would be lovely on a summer night or late social afternoon.
There are vegan and vegetarian options, which was quite impressive given the small menu. The food was well presented and not ridiculously priced, and really quite tasty! The staff were pleasant and helpful, plus nice enough to let us take photos and have our dogs close to the table. This is the perfect place to stop for a break and a bite after walking in Rimrose Valley or to meet friends somewhere you can talk without needing to shout over intrusive music.
Free dog biscuits were advertised though I must admit to not being offered or seeing a jar anywhere? Perhaps I should pop back to further inquire, and to order a coffee because to not do so would definitely be rude.
